How do I book and pay?

Find your level first, either with our quick placement or by messaging us, then enrol in that month's course and pay securely with Stripe. You can create an account during checkout, which makes enrolling the next month quick and easy.

What style do you teach?

New York style Salsa On2 with a friendly, technique first approach. We will touch on musicality, clean movement, and expressive styling. You’ll also feel influences from Afro‑Cuban origins, flamenco, contemporary and heels, but always grounded in salsa!

Do you have a performance team?

Yes, we do! We audition once a year in July. Currently this season's team has been set, but keep an eye out on our social media for the next intake!

Where are classes held?

They are held at GymNation located in London Bridge. The address is 26 Druid Street (SE1 2EY). London Bridge is very well connected via National Rail, and the Northern / Jubilee tube lines.

Any photo/video policy?

We sometimes capture content for social media purposes. Let us know if you prefer not to be in them - opting out is always respected.

How big are classes?

Absolutely, everyone’s welcome here! We aim to keep classes safe, inclusive and encouraging for all.

Do you offer private lessons or wedding choreography?

We do! Message us via our contact form to set up private coaching or bespoke wedding choreography. We’ll tailor it to you!

What pricing options do you offer?

Each monthly course is £50 and includes one class a week for the whole month. Taking more than one course in the same month? Your second course is £40 and any after that are £35 each. Keep an eye out for promo codes too, we share them in class and on Instagram @soysalsa.uk

Do I need a partner?

No, you don't need to bring a partner with you. We rotate throughout the class so you'll be paired with different people. This is a great way to meet new people and be part of our community!

Do you run socials or invite guest instructors?

As we grow, you’ll see socials and guest instructors from abroad. Join our WhatsApp community to hear first and come dance with us.

What’s the class structure?

Most classes split the hour between partnerwork and solo shines. Shines come in from Beginner 2 up, so Beginner 1 stays focused on partnerwork to build your foundation first.

Question 13

What should I wear and which shoes are best?

Anything comfortable that allows you to move. Salsa shoes or dance heels with a suede/leather sole make spins smooth. Try to avoid heavy‑grip street trainers.

Can I get a refund if I cancel?

Course enrolments are non-refundable and non-transferable between accounts. If you have to miss a class during the month, let us know as early as you can and we will help you catch up where we have space.

Can I try one class first?

Our classes run as monthly courses rather than one-off drop-ins, so you join a level for the month and learn it properly with the same group. That is where the real progress happens. New to salsa? Beginner 1 starts from zero, no experience needed. Want to see the room or ask a question before you enrol? Just message us.

What are Soy Points and how do they work?

Soy Points are our loyalty rewards. You earn them for things like signing up, enrolling in courses, checking in to class, and referring friends, then redeem them for money off future courses.

Question 17

What is Salsa Femme?

Accepted Answer

Salsa Femme is our Femme styling track, led by Yimini. It is all about shines, body movement and expression you dance on your own, solo rather than with a partner. It runs as monthly courses, fundamentals and advanced, and is open to any level. You can enrol in it just like any other course.

Question 18

Can I take more than one course at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can take courses on different nights or tracks in the same month, for example a salsa level plus Femme styling, and each extra course lowers your price. The one limit is that you cannot take two levels of the same track in the same month, since each level builds on the one before.
